Why does ESD380C not achieve the expected performance via Thunderbolt 4 / USB4?

Category : Specification / Capacity / Performance

Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 have a maximum bandwidth of 40Gbps and support DisplayPort image transmission; however, for data transfer, only 10Gbps speeds of USB3.2 Gen2 can be reached. Accordingly, ESD380C cannot achieve the expected 20Gbps performance via USB 3.2 Gen2x2 that it supports.
